🎉 Opening Day is This Saturday! 🎉

We’re thrilled to invite you to Meadow Lakes Orchard’s Opening Day celebration this Saturday, and it’s packed with fun for all ages. Here’s what’s happening:

We are open normal hours from 9AM-4:30PM and we will have pastries, coffee, and pies available for purchase. 🍎 The festivities start at 11 AM with our annual Apple Pageant. Come early — if you arrive before or at 10:30 AM, you can still join in the magic and be a part of the show! Are your kids interested in being a part of the fun? Click HERE to find out how they can join.

Parking for Opening Day will be located down by the hay barn - just follow the signs to the right as you pass through the gate. A parking attendant will be stationed by the Juniper tree with two old red water tanks next to it, to help guide you, so feel free to ask for assistance if you need it. If walking up the hill is a challenge, let the attendant know, and we’ll happily provide a ride on our side-by-side to get you where you need to be comfortably!

🍽️ From 11 AM - 4 PM, we’ve partnered with Fresno Street Eats, featuring Ruta Cayejera, an incredible local food truck serving up mouth-watering tacos and other savory spicy treats. Grab some epic tacos and plant yourself under the shade of the old oak tree and enjoy the live music! Follow them on Facebook HERE, and on Instagram HERE.

🎶 At 12:30 PM, get ready to tap your toes as Uncle Ephus takes the stage with live bluegrass music. It’s the perfect soundtrack to your day at the orchard! Named after a tune of the same title, Uncle Ephus was created in 2008 to showcase the repertoire of Doug Cornelius. Doug’s experiences from playing and singing with the acclaimed “Music Farmers” in the 70s and 80s at Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Vegas resorts, and universities to audiences as big as 10,000 energizes Uncle Ephus.

Each band member brings a vast amount of musical and performance experience to Uncle Ephus.

🚜 Families can hop aboard one of our fun hay rides and experience the magic of the orchard like never before! As you roll through rows of apple trees, you'll take in sweeping views of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains. The crisp fall air and golden sunlight make it the perfect backdrop for a relaxing ride through the orchard. Whether you're here with family, friends, or enjoying a peaceful solo moment, our hay rides offer the ideal way to slow down and soak in the beauty of the season. It’s an orchard tradition you won’t want to miss!

We will also have bubbles for the kids, while you indulge in fall favorites like apple dumplings, apple pan dowdies, haystack cookies, and lots of apple pies! Sodas, water, coffee, hot chocolate, and ice tea will be available in the gift shop for purchase, and we will have jugs of water available to fill up your bottles.

Apple Picking: There will be no U-pick experiences this weekend as we are still assessing our apples to make sure we can accommodate this event and and our scheduled school tours. We will have more information on U-Pick opportunities at the end of September, so stay tuned!

We can’t wait to see you there to celebrate the start of a new apple season! Mark your calendars and make sure to arrive early if you want to take part in all the excitement and don't forget to bring chair!
