We are currently seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team as Orchardists at our 40-acre apple farm located in the mountains above Fresno County (Between Auberry and Shaver Lake).
Responsibilities:
Prune and train apple trees for optimal growth
Minimize pest and disease pressure
Harvest ripe apples by hand from trees in the orchard.
Sort and grade apples according to size, color, and quality standards.
Ensure that harvested apples are handled with care to prevent bruising or damage.
Work efficiently and cooperatively as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including hot sun and occasional rain.
Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry baskets of apples weighing up to 40 pounds.
Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between different apple varieties.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Previous experience in fruit harvesting or agriculture is preferred but not required.
