Fireside Chats at The Orchard: Inspiring Conversations & Cozy Evenings

Updated: Oct 26

Starting Friday, October 25th, from 5:30-7:00 PM, we’re igniting the fires for an exciting new series of Fireside Chats at The Orchard at Meadow Lakes! These engaging events combine thoughtful discussions with experts from various fields, including apple orchard care, forest management, small business marketing, and more. And that’s not all - we’re keeping it cozy with a firepit, s’mores, and seating on hay bales (but feel free to bring a comfy chair if you prefer). Plus, we’re on the lookout for even more dynamic speakers to join our lineup until Thanksgiving.

Each chat will feature a 30-minute talk from an expert, followed by a 20-minute Q&A session, and a 40-minute open discussion with your community while roasting marshmallows. This is the perfect opportunity for those who enjoy high-level conversations and want to network with like-minded individuals. We’re bringing a mix of practical knowledge and inspiring ideas, right here at the farm.

If you have valuable insights or expertise you’d like to share and would love to be a guest speaker at our Fireside Chats, we would be thrilled to have you! Whether it's about agriculture, community development, conservation, or small business tips, we’re always looking to enrich our discussions with new voices. To get involved, feel free to call or text Tami at (559) 890-1022, email her at tami@meadowlakesorchard.com, or sign up in person at our farm store during your next visit.

Admission is $5 per person (kids under 3 are free), making it an affordable and enriching way to spend your fall evenings. Whether you’re curious about orchard care from Robin Calderwood, want to dive into forest management with John Mount, learn how journey mapping can elevate your business and life, or would like to tell scary ghost stories to the local children 👻, our Fireside Chats are the place to be. With the beautiful Sierra Nevada backdrop and cool autumn air, it’s a community event you won’t want to miss!
